こんにちは Konnichiwa! I am Hitomi Walker, or Hitomi Sensei! I have 3 years of teaching experience in a Japanese public elementary school where I taught Second and Third grade. I also currently teach Japanese language classes in the Poway Unified School District for different elementary schools. I recently worked in the public child care and family support center in Okinawa,
Japan, which opened for the first time in the village of Matsuda. For the opening, I helped with the preparation and management of the new facilities and class room. I have confidence in my communication skills in both English and Japanese and I love working with children and their families.
I have also been involved in Special Education support (Developmental disorders ADHD, ADD, Asperger syndrome) for 2 years at the public elementary schools in Okinawa, Japan.
I am a very happy person and always positive! I have an abundant imagination and excel at creating arts and crafts and can instruct for both children and adults. I earned a black belt in karate while competing in Tokyo, Japan, where I achieved the level of top 16 at the All Japanese High School competitions. I continue to lead a healthy and active lifestyle where I enjoy teaching
children about the fun of athletics while maintaining a healthy mind and body!
